Against all odds, I make my way to Ruai Primary School. The air is thick with heat and dust—the kind that clings to your skin like a tick. And the dust? Dem! White as ash, swirling in protest with every step, laying claim to every surface like a second skin.

In this desert of a climate and an impossible economy, I summon every ounce of willpower to move on. Google tells me it’s 28°C in Ruai—hot and dry, a fitting reflection of the challenges we face. But today, the mission is clear: to challenge this unforgiving climate, to take a stand—one tree at a time.
